Cytological examination
Microscopic examination of material taken from skin lesions to determine what process is taking place: infection, inflammation, or cancer. Confirmation of the presence of fungal spores in case of suspected mycosis. Fine needle biopsies of cancerous lesions.
Wood's lamp test
Useful in the diagnosis of superficial skin mycosis.
Video otoscopic examination
Video otoscopy is an examination performed by a doctor using an otoscope connected to a camera. The video otoscope is inserted into the ear canal and the image is projected onto the monitor.
